About Me
- Ginifer Lee-Buckley

- My name is Ginifer Lee Buckley. I grew up in Roswell, NM. I spent most of my childhood driving, or being driven, around the back roads of New Mexico and much of the US. For me, there is no more beautiful place on the planet than the Hondo Valley, which glows with yellows, pinks and turquoise. However it seems that every time I come around a turn, or over a hill, a new and stunning visual experience surprises me. At times I may tire, and want to take a rest, but I can not stop playing in paint! I love the texture of oils, the 'dryness' of acrylics, and the change in mood a single color can bring. My style can be categorized as surreal, my subjects usually women and flowers. Both are full of curves, swift turns, a distinct beauty, and most of all, the complexities of life. The use of intense color is a crucial element in my expression. Most recently I participated in numerous shows at the Innerlandscape Gallery.
